I know it’s just a little trifle, but in an article in the Dayton Daily News about cutbacks at the Air Force Institute of Technology, one of the military’s technical graduate schools, I couldn’t help noticing that the taxpayer-funded school is hoping to enroll 125 students from defense industry as a “new business model.”
“We’re actually using this as motivation to get more partners and get more research to strengthen our program,” the Institute commander said.
Huh? Private contractors paying to go to military schools? What could be more cushy?
